We are looking for two creative and enthusiastic individuals to join our Visitor Services team. The successful candidates will be passionate about the arts and heritage and committed to providing a high standard of customer care, and delivering a high quality visitor experience. You will join an innovative team of Visitor Assistants who are responsible for engaging with visitors and providing access to the collections and the exhibition programme. The main duties include assisting all visitors to Bury Art Museum, enhancing their experience through excellent customer service, providing security for the collections and exhibitions, serving customers from the Gallery shop, delivery of talks, workshops and public events, promotion of the service and assisting the curatorial team with the installation of exhibitions. The post holders will be part of the Arts & Museums Team. They will report to the Front of House Supervisor and be based at Bury Art Museum, Moss Street, Bury. We are looking for candidates that enjoy working with people and have good communication skills, with experience of working with a range of individuals and organisations. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a small, dedicated team. We welcome candidates with experience of working in customer facing roles. Experience of delivering talks and workshops to groups, including schools, is advantageous. Candidates must be computer literate, for example basic Skills in word processing and spread sheets, maintaining databases, using emails. Post 1- The normal hours of work are 31 hours per week. Monday 08:30-12:30, Tuesday 10:00-17:00, Wednesday 10:00-17:00, Friday 09:00-17:00 and Saturday 09:30-16:30 Post 2 - The normal hours of work are 28.5 hours per week. Tuesday 10:00-17:00, Wednesday 10:00-17:00, Friday 09:00-12:00 and Saturday 10:00-16:30. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work additional hours.
