Perinatal Mental Health Team Administrator
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join the Berkshire Specialist Perinatal Team which provides mental health care to the birthing population in the six localities of Berkshire. You will be a valued member of the Multidisciplinary team to interface across the service and our clients.
The successful applicant will support the effective operation of the Perinatal Mental Health Service, providing high-quality organisational, administrative and secretarial support to the MDT.
You will be required to work with minimal supervision to provide professional secretarial and administration support to the Perinatal Mental Health Service. As a valued member of the team, you will have good interpersonal skills and be confident in operating a wide range of systems and processes while assisting in the promotion of high-quality services whilst adhering to the Trust's Core Standards and Values.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Undertake a range of clerical & administration duties within the Perinatal Mental Health Service in a sensitive and polite manner while providing a comprehensive & efficient clerical service to patients and clinical staff within the Trust.
2. Answer telephone calls into the service from external agencies, patients, carers, staff, and all other professional staff in a helpful, professional, and courteous manner, ensuring all calls are dealt with politely and efficiently and rerouted where appropriate.
3. Liaise effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, departments, external organisations, and the public, dealing with confidential information in an appropriate manner.
4. Act on your own initiative daily to ensure the effective running of the Perinatal Mental Health Service, prioritising your own workload with guidance from the administrative manager.
5. Be the first point of contact for the patients/clients when required. Receive telephone calls and visitors, taking messages and undertaking initial investigations and actions when required, promoting effective communication across the team.

Job Responsibilities
* You will be highly skilled in IT functions including Microsoft Excel, Google documents, Microsoft Word 365, PowerPoint presentation, publisher, and others. Knowledge of the use of RIO is desirable.
* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise to ensure urgent needs of the service are attended to at all times.
* Knowledge of general administrative tasks such as typing, record keeping, and information management.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications/Training
* Literacy and Numeracy skills to GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent
* RSA III or equivalent
* NVQ Level 4: Business Studies/ Business Management/ Secretarial/Office Management/ PA or equivalent qualification/experience
Continuous Professional Development
* ECDL or equivalent
Previous Experience
* Working in a mental health environment
* Previous experience of working in a health-related environment
* Experience of working as a member of a team in an office environment
* Experience of working in Perinatal Mental Health
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Clear and accurate communication skills
* Understanding of medical & psychological terminology
* IT skills in MS Word 365, Excel, PowerPoint, publisher, and familiarity with RIO.
* Minute & Note-taking experience

* Knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act
