The Income Team are looking for an experienced Team Leader on a permanent basis.
You will manage a team of 7 direct reports, developing and driving forward continuous improvement, ensuring a comprehensive provision of income collection and debt recovery is delivered. You will focus on operational management, performance, and outcomes for both tenants and LBTH at a very challenging time for income collection.
You will:
1. Actively contribute to the strategic direction of the Income Team.
2. Manage a dedicated team of officers responsible for providing a high-quality income collection service.
3. Work collaboratively across the Neighbourhoods’ service and wider organisation.
4. Ensure services are delivered successfully to support tenants to sustain their homes.
To be successful you will have:
1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience of directly managing income teams dealing with complex arrears recovery casework.
2. Good understanding and up-to-date knowledge of the rent arrears protocol and welfare benefits.
3. The ability to use a variety of datasets to identify, monitor and review staff performance to improve customer satisfaction.
4. Experience managing a call centre environment.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal for a variety of audiences.
6. The ability to hold ‘One to Ones’, support, develop and mentor team members.
7. Strong influencing skills and ability to work collaboratively with Colleagues and Partners.
8. Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
9. The ability to work successfully with key internal and external stakeholders and voluntary organisations to achieve results for the tenant and LBTH.
