SHIFT ENGINEER
Wates have an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team based on-site at our client's location near Brixworth, Northampton. This role involves providing both planned and reactive maintenance to all relevant electrical equipment, controlling and operating building operational systems, with a clear focus on Energy and the Environment, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety matters in relation to both direct and indirect scope of this role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for candidates with excellent communication and people management skills, sound judgement, and a focus on achieving high standards and quality assurance.
To be successful in this role, you will need a working knowledge of the Statutory Regulations and Codes of Practice applicable to the maintenance industry, along with IOSH Working Safely and a specific up-to-date qualification relating to electrical or mechanical trade.
This role operates on a shift rota, and any offer is subject to acquiring the relevant security checks.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Ensure that all relevant help desk calls (both planned and reactive) are fully completed with sufficient information and are passed back to the Supervisor in accordance with the defined timescales.
2. Proactively monitor and improve the operation of building systems to ensure optimum performance with a clear focus on energy efficiency and continuous improvement.
3. First line response for all planned and reactive maintenance on all M&E plant including electrical systems such as pumps, motors, drives, AHUs, LV switchgear, PLCs, and SCADA.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a single site; however, there will be requirements to conduct work at some other sites occasionally.
