At Laing O'Rourke, we are dedicated to delivering projects that create lasting positive impact. We are anticipating the need for a Social Value Advisor to support a landmark project in Oxford.
While this role is yet to be confirmed, we expect a start date in March/April and are eager to connect with passionate candidates who share our vision. This will be a site-based role, as part of the project delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Social Value Advisor, you will:
* Deliver Social Value strategies on projects, focusing on education, employment, and community investment.
* Monitor and report on delivery outputs and identify risks or issues against contractual KPIs and sustainability targets.
* Set and implement KPIs and delivery plans aligned to central and client social value priorities.
* Build and manage stakeholder relationships with delivery partners, site teams, and supply chain.
* Raise awareness of social value strategies, educating project teams in its delivery inc. chairing stakeholder meetings and presenting.
* Drive procurement excellence by using Laing O'Rourke's Social Value Playbook to embed social value commitments into procurement processes and ensure supply chain alignment.
* Monitor and measure impact, evaluating social value delivery and tracking outcomes using impact tools.
* Promote best practice by staying informed on social value trends.
About You
We're looking for a Social Value champion who:
* Has a deep understanding of social value drivers, frameworks, and their application across public and private sectors.
* Is experienced in delivering social value strategies and engaging diverse teams.
* Demonstrates excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others.
* Has experience in the construction sector (preferred) or transferable skills from other industries or relevant roles.
