The Role As an Office Manager, you’ll oversee the smooth operation of their administrative team, act as Personal Assistant to the Town Clerk, and coordinate key functions such as venue hire and HR administration. Key Responsibilities: Act as PA to the Town Clerk, managing emails, diaries, and correspondence. Provide administrative support to the Deputy Town Clerk, Assistant Town Clerk, and Communications & Marketing Manager. Supervise and manage administrative staff, reception services, and the Admin Apprentice. Promote and manage venue hire for the Manor House and Community Centres, including weddings. Oversee HR administration, including recruitment, training coordination, and maintaining personnel records. Organise civic functions, including Mayor Making and Remembrance Sunday events. Maintain databases and ensure compliance with data management policies. Support and implement the Town Council’s goals and initiatives. About you: Strong communication and ICT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency. Experience in staff supervision and office management. Knowledge of HR administration processes. The ability to manage diaries, coordinate events, and meet tight deadlines. A customer-focused approach and the ability to represent the Council with professionalism.
