Knowsley Children’s Social Care is seeking to recruit an Experienced Social Worker to work in the Fostering Service.
There are currently two full-time posts and a part-time post (0.7). Knowsley’s fostering service is currently split within two teams, one supporting and assessing mainstream foster carers and the other supporting and assessing friends and family foster carers. You would gain the training and support to have the opportunity to create and deliver training, attend engagement days with foster carers and children, and be part of the new Mockingbird programme. Knowsley currently offers free car parking and unlimited tea and coffee.
You will need to be qualified and professionally registered as a social worker, have knowledge of current legislation and regulations, and be able to demonstrate your experience and abilities in respect of working in partnership with children, young people, families, and partner agencies.
