Behaviour Support Worker (E6166) - Co-op Academy Priesthorpe
Would you like work within a vibrant secondary academy? We're looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to join our team!
As a Behaviour Support Worker you will deliver behaviour support across the school working as part of the Student Support team, as well as implementing behaviour modification interventions specific to issues raised by the Student Support team or subject teachers with particular focus on students with emotional or mental health issues. You will also cover and support duties throughout the school, where required.
At the top of your game, you’ll communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues, clearly understand and apply Restorative Practice principles and remain resilient, robust and resourceful. How and why you do things matters greatly to us, as does your ability to use your initiative, work independently and demonstrate ambition and integrity.
In return you’ll be joining a great team, which was recognised in our recent Ofsted inspection report, where we have been judged to be Good with Outstanding features. Ofsted commented “Many staff are proud members of what they describe as the ‘Priesthorpe family’”. In addition to this, the first line of the report captures what really matters to us; “Pupils at Coop Academy Priesthorpe are proud to be members of an inclusive community”.
You’ll do all this whilst capturing the spirit of our vision and values and role-modelling exceptional professional behaviours.
Co-op Academy Priesthorpe is situated in Pudsey and just 15 minutes from both Leeds and Bradford centre with places for 1250 students and 135 staff. The Academy has a very special ethos, which visitors continue to comment on. Equity and equality are key drivers for us in ensuring that all students have the opportunity to excel within a highly inclusive and supportive community.
What our team does really counts and we offer a wide range of benefits and rewards to recognise the part you play in our success. Whether they benefit your finances, your well-being, or your family, in or outside work. You are important to us!
All our values are based upon the values of the Co-op Group, which will inform our behaviours.
Self-help: We do not expect to be spoon fed – we will try to do things for ourselves in the right way and at the right time.
Self-responsibility: Everyone should act in a responsible way around the academy site and in the local community. We take responsibility for our own learning; we want to become independent learners.
Equality: We are proud to be part of a very multicultural academy, with students from all over the world; it is important that we treat each other with respect and accept that others may be different from ourselves. We should all have equal chances to succeed.
Equity: We want to look for the best in each other. Rewarding others fairly to encourage all types of achievement.
Democracy: We will contribute our ideas to make the academy a success.
Solidarity: We can achieve more by working together, rather than as individuals.
