The Secure Communications and Information Systems (SIX) team in the UK is seeking an entrepreneurial Product Manager to be the driving force behind the development and exploitation of our Sovereign Security products and our ECM (Electromagnetic Counter Measures) products and services. The successful candidate will be capable of driving the growth of their products as part of a high performing team. Role The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, production, sales & marketing and customer service & support. They act as the product champion, ensuring product business plans are developed and executed so that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals. Key Responsibilities Define and lead the implementation of Product Line strategy and competitiveness action plans. Drive the gathering and analysis of intelligence on relevant market segments and competition covering worldwide market trends, market and customer needs. Define the Product's robust value proposition and competitive positioning, and differentiation. Prepare and present Product Plans as input to Product Life Cycle Decision Reviews, including the Business Plan, roadmap, differentiation, value proposition and market & customer requirements. Lead the implementation of Product Policy decisions and resulting action plans. Propose product development investments as part of the company's strategic planning and budgeting cycles. Lead the Product Core Team and work closely with the Product Line Architect and Program Manager to deliver new products and new functionality to target unit cost, development cost and requirements. Take part in development progress meetings and act as the 'voice of the customer'. Control and monitor product's financial performance, competitiveness, and roadmap in line with the Business Plan. Manage the operational marketing plan including the sales structure, supporting material and promotional campaigns to address the UK and global market. Interface with other business entities and the Business Line in other countries. Leverage their capabilities as a source of solutions for the UK market, and as go-to-market channel for UK capability. Key Skills/Attributes B2B and or B2G marketing experience/skills, especially in terms of offer definition, development and business plan execution. An intimate knowledge of the marketing mix and of current trends in marketing. A strong understanding of technical and/or systems engineering and a good understanding of finance. Market Intelligence Marketing Communications and Sales, the Product Line Architect, Technical Director, Program Management and Engineering. Product and technical functions in the Business Line. Experience and Qualifications The ideal candidate will be a Product Management professional with an IT security Appliance business background. Experience in leading new product introduction. Ownership of product strategy. Experience of selling products through a network of resellers. Bachelor's degree (MBA or additional business degree also preferred).
