Position Title: Security Guard I Position Status: Full-Time Department: Environmental Health & Safety Services JOB SUMMARY The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring safety and security excellence at all TCC operations in support of organizational mission. Specific responsibilities include: Directing clients, staff, and others to their destination. Monitor and control flow of people in and out of the assigned location. Ensure the professional appearance of the assigned location (etc. smokers, loitering, etc.). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. Specific Responsibilities include: 1.Security compliance and access control 2.Compliance with and participation in local, state, and federal Security programs and initiatives 3.Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees, clients, and visitors SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are to be performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc. Performs any other duties as assigned by Director. COMPETENCIES Ability to maintain accurate and timely records. Ability to organize and maintain documentation, trainings, and regulations as necessary to the position. Skills in the area of effective interpersonal communication. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in the area of safety and security Knowledge of addiction and recovery preferred. Maintains applicable agency trainings. Offers of employment are contingent on the successful completion of drug testing and background check.
