Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working with this well-established business based in Wakefield, who are recruiting an experienced and hands on Financial Controller.
You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant with experience of managing a small team, to deliver the end of end accounting responsibility for the business. Responsibility for all financial and management accounting processes would fall into your remit.
Reporting to the CFO, you will take responsibility for:
Cashflow forecasting on a daily basis, including management of invoice discounting facility and bank accounts.
Reviewing and approving supplier and other payments.
Reviewing and overseeing HMRC requirements including VAT.
Overseeing and reviewing monthly management accounts and finalisation of monthly MI packs.
Regular reviewing of the balance sheet including any provisions.
Monthly stock accounting - maintenance & reviewing of stock, reports and valuations.
Assisting with budget preparation and reporting against actual expenditure.
Overseeing and reviewing 4 weekly/monthly payroll.
Assisting with developing and maintaining internal audit processes and procedures.
Liaising with external auditors as and when required.
Liaising with key external stakeholders, including suppliers & customers.
