The International Premium Products & Benefits team (IPPB), within the International Card Services (ICS) Centre of Excellence (COE), is responsible for delivering and enabling transformational growth opportunities by delivering best-in-class premium products, capabilities, customer experiences & partnerships to drive revenue growth and margin expansion. The Analyst, Issue Management and Controls will report to the Manager, Issue Management & Controls and will play an integral role in tracking, monitoring and owning Operational Risk Events across IPBB; further enhancing proactive process controls and supporting local markets in issue resolution through best practice sharing.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Analyst will own Operational Risk Events E2E in the International Premium Products & Benefits team, support local ICS markets in ORE closure and play a key role in wider Governance initiatives/enhancements across the ICS COE. In addition, the analyst will own multiple workstreams to enhance proactive process controls across ICS, in partnership with Control Management and Technology.
The role will involve extensive collaboration with the Loyalty & Partnerships team in the International Premium Products and Benefits COE, Control Management, Technology, Compliance, and local markets. The role may also require working directly with external Third Parties.
The successful applicant will have experience in issue management and will possess excellent communication, collaboration, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
* Own OREs across the International Premium Products & Benefits team and support local markets with ORE closure.
* Share best issue management practices with ICS local markets.
* Play a key role to track and manage open ICS OREs and integrate key learnings into future process control enhancements.
* Partner with Technology and Control Management to build proactive controls addressing key process gaps/risks.
* Share insights, better practices & themes across the enterprise.
Minimum qualifications
* Prior experience in operational risk, compliance, operations or other risk management functions preferred.
* Prior experience in issue management and issue resolution.
* Demonstrated experience working across multiple international markets in governance type roles.
* Experience working in loyalty and partnerships.
* A critical thinker with proven ability to solve complex problems and deliver solutions.
* Strong attention to detail with a diligent, process driven approach.
* High energy, strong will-to-win and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
* Ability to act autonomously and drive forward a range of activities with a high level of personal accountability.
* Experience in multi market roles.
* Ability to work across central and local teams/leaders and galvanize them against common objectives.
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships, with proven ability to influence across multiple global teams.
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills; can adjust style depending on external audiences and internal stakeholders.
