You are committed to providing high-quality grounds maintenance services, working independently with minimal supervision, and taking responsibility for directing the work of others as needed. You hold a full UK driver's license, are healthy and physically fit, and live in Carmarthenshire. You adapt to working 43 hours a week from April 1st to October and transition to 31 hours from October to April. What the Job Involves This role involves general maintenance of allocated areas including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and sports area upkeep, performing cleaning tasks in public facilities, and applying pesticides according to manufacturer guidelines and legislation. You will conduct visual inspections of playground equipment, use various hand and powered tools, operate tractors, and ensure all work is performed under health and safety regulations. The role requires you to manage significant resources, report to the Grounds Environmental Supervisor, and may need occasional direction of trainees or other staff within the Environment Department.
