2020 Recruitment are currently looking for Mechanical Fitters to join our Client in Middleton. These roles are temporary to permanent positions. The Role As a Mechanical Fitters you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding and testing various equipment. You will support, improve and lead on-time assembly & testing of equipment as well as innovative idea generation and creative, efficient problem solving. Hours of Work Mon - Thurs 06.00-14.00 & 14.00-22.00 with 30min break. Fri 06.00-12.00 & 12.00-18.00 Duties As the Mechanical Fitters your duties will include: Fitting of components and/or modules as directed by engineering drawings and technical specifications Work closely with colleagues during build/install to ensure a smooth and efficient build process Ability to conduct production tests to established procedures, and complete accurate test reports Ensure all components which are being assembled are fit for purpose Operate machines or use hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place. To operate equipment in a safe manner, producing products which conforms to quality specifications Recording work carried out for tracking purposes Requirements To be considered for this position you must have the following: Time-served apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline, equivalent to either City and Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3 (essential) HNC / HND qualified or equivalent, with a Mechanical Engineering bias (desirable) Package As the Mechanical Fitter you will receive: £16.81ph Basic 15% shift allowance for early and afternoon shifts OT available - 50% Weekdays & Saturday, 100% Sunday Opportunity of a permanent contract Pension and Holiday Pay Overtime when required Apply To apply for this position or to learn more about the role please get in touch with Robert at 2020 Recruitment by phone or email.
