As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting teachers and students, fostering a love of learning in the early stages of their education. Job Description: As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Providing one-on-one and group support to students in Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7). Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons. Supporting the development of literacy, numeracy, and social skills through interactive activities. Helping manage classroom behavior to create a positive and productive learning environment. Preparing learning materials and assisting with classroom organization. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents. Supporting children with additional needs, including those with SEN, to ensure they can access the curriculum effectively. Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent. Experience working with KS1 students preferred, but not essential. Understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and strategies to support young learners. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
