Our client a rapidly growing and successful flooring supplier is seeking new staff as part of a planned expansion programme, this client has exceptional staff progression policies and prefer to develop their talented people in house so this is the perfect second job for someone who is now seeking a Customer focused role with a growing and successful company working with in the supply of flooring and ancillary equipment to the trade and directly to customers. The successful candidate will be give the opportunity for real progression within the organisation or one of it's existing or newly planned branches two or three of which will be opening in 2025. This is a great opportunity to join this exciting company at a time of planned expansion Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the key duties of the Warehouse Person are as follows. Customer service and company expectations Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to this i.e. efficient service that aims to impress the customer along with above average levels of cleanliness and professionalism within the warehouse environment. Ensuring your communication with all branches is ensuring that the quality of supply and service they receive exceeds expectation and is at the same level as a customer would expect Liaising with customers, suppliers, and transport companies Responding to and dealing with customer communication and feedback and reporting this to your manager. Stock control and systems Coordinating, and monitoring the receipt of goods Timely Order picking and dispatch of goods Keep stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate reporting any anomalies to your manager. Assisting with the management of aged stock, including stock checking, collating, and helping to make sure out of date / discontinued is sold off as soon as possible Working to company policies assisting with ensuring stock shrinkage is reported to Managers (e.g. theft, damage, obsolescence, booking in and out errors etc.) Using the inhouse computer systems where necessary and ensuring accuracy of your input. Vehicles, Equipment and H & S Following the standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the workplace, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and flammables are stored safely. This includes understanding of accident reporting and the companies Health and Safety policy and its implementation and the reporting of any incidents to your manager. Ensuring your use of mechanical handling is efficient and safe Reporting any needs for maintenance or repair of vehicles, machinery, and equipment within the warehouse environment to your manager Reporting any accidents whilst off site immediately to your line manager and co-operating fully with any investigations internally and externally. Ensuring you follow of vehicle routes and that the most efficient route is always considered. Fork-Lift licenses (Reach & Counterbalance) required. Training / Retraining can be provided. ADZN1_UKTJ
