We are currently recruiting Banking Analyst to working with our Finance team, based at our Head Office in Wootton, Bedfordshire, MK43 9EJ. Our Banking Analysts are responsible for performing a variety of banking duties and financial administration, as well as reconciling bank accounts against Copart's own internal accounting records and investigating any exceptions which arise from this. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Manually reconciling UK and IRL bank accounts against internal accounting records Administration of various banking systems, including new user set-up, queries and adjusting credit limits Providing guidance to our Operation Centres with administration queries relating to the banking systems used Administration of out of date and voided cheques, stop cheque requests, cheque referrals, recalls, setting up DD's and templates via our banking System Weekly downloading and sourcing of back-up information in preparation for reconciliations Provision of weekly reporting & dashboards to senior management Month end reporting and presenting reconciliations for sign-off Preparing journal entries in JD Edwards for adjustments/write-offs Using the Copart Auction System and online banking system to review exceptions and provide guidance to business units with deposit/cheque queries, to rectify errors Using CAS, JD Edwards and online banking system to reconcile deposits and cheques Reconcile the general bank accounts, ensuring that all entries have been recorded in the correct accounting period Assisting in preparation for quarterly auditing, including SOX compliance Working proactively to ensure deadlines are met & processes are examined and improved What we need from you: Essential Skills Good Microsoft Excel skills, including an understanding of v-lookups and pivot tables Exceptional attention to detail Previous experience of reconciling bank accounts is essential Ability to format and present spreadsheets and reports to a high standard Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships A positive and proactive, can-do attitude Desirable Skills AAT Level 2 in Accounting A minimum of A-level qualified Knowledge of JD Edwards system On-line banking experience Proactive with improving processes What we offer you in return: Time For You: Relax with 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and an extra day for a personal special occasion.
