The Nuclear Fuel Logistics Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining and operating the Global Logistics Nuclear Fuel Logistics Business Development strategy and process. This position will include primary responsibility for Relationship Management of the key global strategic nuclear fuel transport suppliers and excellent interpersonal relationship skills are required to manage internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Your Day-to-Day:
1. Lead the Global Logistics Nuclear Fuel Logistics Project Management program from inception to the point of operational execution such that project outcomes and deliverables (cost estimates, quotations and proposals) are consistently met and executed in a timely manner in line with the quality management process.
2. Manage the primary relationship and interface between the Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel business project managers that require transportation, packaging and regulatory services to meet the delivery scope of their sales projects and opportunities identified in the Nuclear Fuel Business Plan and be the focal point for ensuring that Global Logistics (GSCS) are included at an early stage for planning and costing projects and agreeing supplier contracts where Nuclear Fuel Transport scope is required.
3. Co-ordinate with the Nuclear Fuel Transport representatives at each of the 3 x Fuel Fabrication sites and the Nuclear Fuel CAMS / Business Project Managers and Customer Integration Engineers / Managers and provide the Nuclear Fuel Logistics required scope accordingly for all projects.
4. Prepare and communicate key project milestone updates and risks for key stakeholders
5. Provide direction, strategic guidance and support to the Global Logistics Category Leads and Nuclear Fuel Transport Project Managers who may support the management of Nuclear Fuel Transport Projects
6. Manage Nuclear Fuel Logistics Project Management workload, manage resource allocation and help resolve obstacles to progress up until the point of operational execution.
7. Interface directly with Westinghouse external customers to support business unit leaders
8. Provide LOA input for Nuclear Logistics Scope – costs, supplier options, packaging options and load and logistics plans
9. Create the packaging and transport scope language for nuclear fuel sales contracts
10. Review the Nuclear Fuel Business Plan to identify which projects require what scope of transportation, packaging and regulatory services and coordinate that data into a Global Logistics Support Plan, ensuring Global Logistics objectives align directly with the overall Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Business Plan.
11. Manage Risk Assessment across the Nuclear Fuel Transport projects up until the point of operational execution.
12. Advise Category Leads relating to the Global Sourcing / Supplier Management aspects of the Nuclear Fuel Transport activities.
13. Advise Category Leads relating to creating Supplier Contracts / Agreements for Nuclear Fuel packaging and transport projects
Who you are:
14. BA/BS in areas of Supply Chain, Business, or similar discipline
15. 3 years of procurement or global transport experience
16. Strong Negotiating, Benchmarking, Market Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, and Project Procurement Management skills
17. Experience with vendor management including supplier contract administration
18. Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and draw conclusions from quantitative data
19. Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate and engage at all organizational levels, ability to cultivate and sustain high quality professional relationships
20. Ability to amicably and professionally resolve disputes with suppliers
21. Ability to work individually or as part of a team environment
22. Must be creative and have strong problem-solving skills along with time-management, prioritizing, planning and self-direction skills
23. Ability to maintain long term productive relationship with suppliers (SRM)
24. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
25. Ability to manage data and workflows in a database environment
26. Ability to travel 10%
