Position: Financial Inclusion and Welfare Rights OfficerHours: 37.5 per week (to be worked between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday)Salary: Up to £26,198 per annum depending on experience, current salary andqualificationsThe role involves managing a caseload of vulnerable adults who are unable to manage their own finances. Responsibilities include:
1. Benefit Management: Oversee clients' DWP benefit claims, ensuring maximum entitlement and access to funds for daily living expenses, bills, and activities.
2. Client Support: Provide welfare rights and budgeting advice to clients and staff, potentially delivering training and developing support materials.
3. Financial Oversight: Administer and monitor client accounts, ensuring prompt payment of bills and the proper use of funds, including managing pre-pay cards and setting up direct debits.
4. Client Visits: Conduct occasional national travel to provide on-site support and advice to clients and staff.
5. Advocacy: Represent clients in appeals and tribunals to maintain their benefits.
6. Compliance: Follow corporate policies, maintain accurate records, and cooperate with internal audits.
