Abacus Distributing is seeking an energetic person to expand the Worcester area market. The candidate will be expected to build a territory with both retail and restaurant accounts in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have wine knowledge and a good understanding of spirits. Prior retail liquor experience is preferred. For a review of our portfolio, please visit our website.
Responsibilities:
1. Acquire and demonstrate product knowledge and effectively present products to accounts.
2. Meet sales expectations on a weekly basis without constant management supervision.
3. Provide daily and monthly reports as required.
4. Attend weekly meetings and training sessions (1 in person and the rest via Zoom).
5. Perform product demonstrations/tastings as required to promote sales.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Should possess a strong base knowledge of liquor, wine, and beer.
2. Must reside in Massachusetts at the time of application to be considered.
3. Must be a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed and meet goals.
4. Have good time-management skills.
5. Work with supplier representatives as requested.
6. Always looking for new opportunities to succeed.
7. Strong follow-up skills with a no excuses attitude.
8. Must be able to build displays with cases up to 35lbs with no restrictions.
9. This position requires a valid Massachusetts Driver's License along with reliable transportation.
Compensation: Base (the base is listed below, but not commission, bonus, or supplier incentives) + Commission + Bonus. Our Bonus program includes weekly and quarterly performance bonuses.
We pay monthly expenses (up to $400/month).
