About your team:
At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it. We’re the household heroes powering 1 in 3 homes in the UK – but supplying energy is just part of what we do. We’re making the UK’s homes greener and more energy efficient, together with our friends at Hive.
That’s why we need a brilliant Finance Partner for Home Services to help us get to where we’re going. This role involves engaging with Key Stakeholders and making your mark in the team, supporting the Home Service leadership team on all financial matters, and identifying new growth opportunities.
Location: With our Flexible First working arrangements, this role can be mostly based at home with occasional meetings required at our Centrica sites.

The Job role:
* Become trusted partner to the Home Solutions Director and the LT to grow the installations business.
* Work closely with fulfilment, planning & dispatch, commercial and sales teams to understand the overall Home Solutions financial position.
* Liaise with supply chain colleagues to ensure stock position and cost of the different fulfilment methods is understood.
* Support the operation in embedding and improving net zero fulfilment activity.
* Work with FP&A teams to deliver robust plans and forecasts, flagging emerging changes in business performance.
* Identify performance improvement interventions and design means of implementing changes.
* Support the wider finance team and business by providing robust insight and analysis.
* Develop understanding of key drivers of resourcing and fulfilling home installations.
* Understand business strategy and its translation into financial impacts.
* Carry out non-standard analysis to support business decision making.
Who are we looking for?
* Accountancy qualification
* Post qualification experience
* Strong ability to summarise complex matters and communicate effectively.
* Ability to develop positive and effective working relationships.
* Strategic thinking and critical thinking skills.
* Demonstrated ability in commercial analysis and evaluation.
* Ability to identify, assess and analyse operational risks and controls.
