Your role and responsibilities As a Lead Teacher in the Alternative Tuition Service, you will work alongside the lead teachers within the service to deliver a bespoke curriculum to children who for various reasons are the responsibility of the Local Authority. The service is a registered examination centre so you will work alongside the lead for online learning to ensure that pupils are able to access the appropriate Maths examinations. You will also have specific responsibility for all children in the service in Key Stages one and two. model positive attitudes and relationships with all stakeholders, including your staff and schools, to establish a caring, safe and stimulating environment for teaching and learning. In doing so, you will establish and maintain good working relationships with other professionals within your work and with parents/carers and LA staff also be able to respond to the issues that may be affecting the young people’s ability to access the curriculum and support them appropriately. You will need Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong commitment to social inclusion to inspire pupils to achieve their full potential experience of, and a commitment to teaching Numeracy across a range of abilities leadership in teaching and learning to work as a part of a strong and supportive team experience of working in primary schools and knowledge of the Maths curriculum across all stages and all subjects of the primary curriculum would be beneficial experience of working with children with SEND and responsibility of working with young people with SEMH is desirable willingness to learn and grow is valued, even if applicants don't have all the technical expertise yet.
