Position Overview: Our client is looking to grow their team and recruit a Trainee Inspection Engineer to join their ISO 9001 quality standard company with a track record of providing essential inspection activities to some of the largest national and international Companies involved in the food and drink industries and provide critical non-destructive inspection services of equipment plant and machinery to clients in the power, oil, energy, and general engineering sectors. Although based in Swindon, the Company carries out most of its inspection activities at customers sites throughout the UK and increasingly overseas. The successful candidate(s) will receive on-the-job training and will be required to gain National/ Internationally recognised inspection and safety qualifications. Key Objectives: Attend clients' sites to carry out inspection Follow our test instructions and quality procedures Set up equipment in accordance with our inspection procedures at client's premises Abide by all Health and Safety standards through proficient use of risk assessments and method statements Prepare reports and certificates detailing results and findings Discuss findings and results with client Help maintain inspection equipment and carry out calibration checks About you: Be a conscientious, responsible, proactive, very reliable individual with good timekeeping and a can-do attitude for this permanent position. Sound knowledge of all MS Office applications Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English Must be able to work on their own, as well as a good team player. Ability to work at height, climb ladders, scaffold, and access platforms. There is restricted access to some of the items we examine, therefore the ability to work in confined spaces essential. Full safety training will be given. Willingness to travel at home and abroad The role requires a willingness to work flexible hours with weekend, evenings, and some night shifts. Essential Requirements: Educated to GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English /A Level. A full UK driving license, Valid Passport Good eyesight, and not colour blind, due to the requirements of the role.
