Job Title: Domiciliary Care Worker Hours: 40 Location: Goole Pay: £12.50 per hour The business: Our client specialises in the provision of large care packages specifically designed for those who need a high level of care supervised by highly qualified nurses and support staff. This includes brain and spinal injury, life limiting conditions and enduring neurological conditions. A Learning Disabilities team provides all levels of care in this specialist area, including the provision of Independent Supported Living services, respite services and home support, specialising in support for those who have Autistic Spectrum Disorder and other complex conditions. Main duties of the job: · Assist/support service users with personal care for example, Washing, dressing, and continence support. All relevant training provided to carry these tasks out safely. · Assist with preparing meals and oversee both fluid intake and food consumption. · To support with domestic duties within the individual’s home. During these duties you may come in to contact with chemical and biological agents in cleaning materials (in compliance with COSHH). · To encourage people to retain their independence and assist them to achieve their goals and aspirations in conjunction with the support plans. For example, supporting the individuals to access the community. · To maintain accurate records to allow us to effectively liaise with other agencies involved in the care of the service user such as GP, community nurses, and any significant other. To report any significant change in relation to the assessed needs of the individual. · To develop skills and participate in mandatory training, refresher training, staff meetings and supervisions. Good communication skills and understanding of digital technology are essential. · To maintain confidentiality at all times, taking into consideration the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR 2018. Breach of legislation and regulations could result in personal fines from the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
