As the Compliance Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Compliance to lead and manage the compliance function, ensuring the business meets FCA (Financial Conduct Authority), EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority), and local regulatory requirements. This is an opportunity to shape policies, oversee compliance strategy, and manage a dedicated team, all while helping the business navigate the evolving regulatory landscape.
What You’ll Be Do
* Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Lead the compliance function, ensuring adherence to FCA, EIOPA, and internal regulatory standards.
* Monitoring & Risk Management: Develop and implement compliance monitoring plans, conduct audits, and oversee regulatory reporting.
* Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, ensuring that regulatory changes and requirements are well understood and implemented across the business.
* Policy & Framework Development: Continuously refine policies and procedures to enhance internal controls, mitigate risks, and ensure a robust compliance culture.
* Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Compliance team, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality regulatory advice and guidance to all levels of the organisation
* Regulatory Reporting & Analysis: Oversee FCA regulatory submissions, including RegData, RMAR, and Connect, and provide insights on trends affecting compliance.
* Oversight of Third-Party Relationships: Monitor and assess compliance performance of Brokers, key suppliers, and service providers, ensuring alignment with internal policies.
* Champion Compliance Culture: Promote a proactive approach to Consumer Duty, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), and Senior Management & Certification Regime (SM&CR).
What They Are Looking
* 5+ years’ experience in compliance roles within insurance or financial services, with 2+ years in a leadership position.
* Deep understanding of FCA Handbook requirements, particularly Consumer Duty, TCF, ICOBS, and SM&CR.
* Experience in compliance monitoring, risk management, and regulatory reporting
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills-able to identify risks and implement effective solutions.
* Ability to engage and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, regulators, and business teams.
* Practical experience with FCA RMAR returns and applications.
* A strong sense of integrity, leadership, and attention to detail.
