In a nutshell
This is a fantastic opportunity for a developing Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary Fleet Technical Management (FTM) Support team, to assist with the Continued Airworthiness Management (Part CAMO) responsibilities across our modern twin-engine fleet.
We are keen to hear from engineers with knowledge of aircraft systems, from across a variety of disciplines including Mechanical, Avionic, Cabin, Propulsion, Landing Gear, Maintenance Programs, Reliability and Structures.
The FTM Support team is a fast-paced and varied environment, where the workload comprises day-to-day core tasks and a mix of medium and longer-term technical projects, across all major disciplines. Your technical support to each of the FTM specialism teams is crucial in ensuring optimum safety, operational performance and cost efficiency.

Day to day
Your role is likely to include elements of the following departmental work:
* Provide engineering technical support to FTM specialism teams as departmental workload demands.
* Compile maintenance documentation aligning to the company's Part CAMO and Part 145 approvals.
* Where applicable, compile design documentation and provide support to VAA's part 21 design organisation.
* Review technical documents issued by aircraft manufacturers, equipment vendors and regulatory bodies, assessing implications and recommending the appropriate action to ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Assess and support fleet maintenance and modification policies.
* Support Engineering projects.
* Investigate defects and formulate corrective actions to maintain safety, system integrity and reliability at optimum cost.
* Support technical liaison between the airline, manufacturers, equipment vendors and regulatory bodies.
* Collate, manipulate, analyse and present technical data / recommendations to support technical decision-making.
* Support the development of in-house processes and procedures.
About you

As a Design and Development Engineer, you will have a Degree/HND in an Engineering-related subject or a background as a licensed Aircraft Engineer. You will be able to demonstrate awareness of CAA & EASA regulations, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) documentation and aircraft technical publications.
Ideally, you will have broad technical experience across a variety of aircraft systems, gained within an airline or OEM engineering department. Flexible and adaptable, you will be excellent at multi-tasking and prioritising. With a collaborative approach, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills together with the ability to problem solve. Previous Part CAMO experience, and knowledge of Virgin Atlantic's existing fleet of aircraft is highly desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
