This is an exciting opportunity to work both as a practitioner in the local context - by engaging children & their families through initiatives to meet need and to ensure positive outcomes - and also to work as part of a team across the North West region where you will be investing in collaborative relationships with Divisional and local leaders to encourage and capitalise on existing Children’s ministry and to speak into new & emerging mission opportunities. The Salvation Army ministers to physical and social as well as spiritual need and this role will work to encourage full participation of Children in the life of The Salvation Army with the goal to fully integrate and welcome them into communities of faith. The successful candidate for this full-time position will have: A nationally recognised qualification in children’s work or working towards it and/or good experience of working with children in areas of discipleship and children’s spirituality. [Applicants with transferable/ relevant skills will be considered] Experience of mentoring & supporting children & families & children’s leaders Practical experience & demonstrable skills in developing children’s outreach projects. E.g.
