Role: As an Manager in the Indirect/VAT team, you will support the delivery of high-quality VAT advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Initially, your role will be compliance-based, with the opportunity to transition into a full consultancy role. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, leading projects, and contributing to the growth of this specialised team. Key Responsibilities: Provide VAT advisory and compliance services to a diverse range of clients. Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring all VAT compliance and advisory needs are met. Lead and manage VAT projects, from initial client consultation to final delivery. Assist in the development and implementation of VAT strategies for clients. Stay updated on VAT legislation and ensure clients are informed of relevant changes. Identify opportunities for clients to improve VAT processes and optimise VAT recovery. Support senior team members in business development activities, including preparing proposals and participating in client pitches. Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth. Maintain a strong understanding of the firm's products, services, and capabilities to cross-sell to clients. Ensure adherence to the firm's risk management and quality control procedures. Skills and Attributes: ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified, or equivalent. Significant experience in VAT/Indirect Tax, ideally within a professional services environment. Strong technical knowledge of VAT legislation and compliance. Excellent client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proactive, with a strong interest in team performance, development, and wellbeing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
