We are looking for a Cabin Safety Specialist (CSS) to play a key role in ensuring the consistent delivery of cabin safety and policy standards across the easyJet network.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Cabin Safety Specialist (CSS), you’ll be at the heart of ensuring the highest cabin safety and policy standards across the easyJet network! You’ll work closely with the Cabin Safety Manager, tackling operational safety challenges and refining procedures to keep everyone safe. Using the SafetyNet system and data insights, you’ll dive deep into trends, lead safety investigations, and implement preventative actions to enhance safety. Your role will see you driving safety excellence through monitoring assurance checks, identifying and escalating risks, and ensuring that the right actions and policies are in place. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments like Cabin Services and Safety Data, preparing stats, contributing to safety meetings, and assisting with important policy revisions and publications. You’ll also lead exciting safety projects, including SOP reviews, risk assessments, and safety campaigns, while raising the profile of cabin safety across the network. As a key player, you’ll inspire and respond to cabin safety feedback, promote a "Just Culture" to ensure our crew feel valued and supported. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to deputise for the Cabin Safety Manager and Inflight Safety Specialist, taking on new challenges and making a real impact on our safety culture. Requirements of the Role
What you’ll need to do the role:
To excel in this role, you’ll bring valuable project or managerial experience, a solid understanding of the easyJet CSPM, and the ability to understand cabin crew regulatory requirements with ease. With a sharp eye for detail, you'll thrive under pressure while using your analytical skills to interpret and report on data effectively. Your strong safety awareness and proactive mindset will be key in identifying and addressing risks. You’ll need to be computer literate, with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and your communication and relationship-building skills will enable you to collaborate seamlessly across all levels. You’ll also shine in written communication, developing clear, actionable reports and procedures. Handling confidential situations with professionalism and balancing independent work with teamwork will be second nature to you. Experience proofreading or writing manuals, being a trained SafetyNet Investigator, or having previous Cabin Crew or Cabin Manager experience (training provided if not current qualified) will be an added advantage. Location & Hours of Work
This role is based in London Gatwick, working 40 hours per week with some travel required to Luton and around the network. We support hybrid working and spend 3 days per week in the office.
