Role: QA Operative (Evening Shift)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 3:00pm – 12:00am. Overtime if required.

Job purpose: To ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in our poultry processing facility by performing quality assurance activities, monitoring critical control points, and enforcing good manufacturing practices.
Job Responsibilities:
* Conduct pre-operation and operations sanitary inspections of production areas.
* Perform quality checks on work in process and finished products.
* Monitor and verify critical control points throughout the production process.
* Ensure adherence to HACCP, GMP, and company food safety policies.
* Participate in internal auditing activities.
* Accurately complete all required quality assurance paperwork.
* Document HACCP corrective actions for non-conforming products.
* Verify production check sheets and maintain records.
* Identify and report quality issues to a QA manager.
* Liaise with production management on the standard of production checks.
* Assist with technical issues as required.
* Monitor traceability on raw materials and ingredients through the process.
Essential Requirements:
* A minimum of 1 year experience within the food industry, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Computer literacy.
* Ability to stand for extended periods.
* Comfortable working in a cold environment.
* Ability to work alongside QA team and production to resolve issues.
* Ability to accurately check key information such as use-by dates, allergens, and batch codes.
* Solid level of numeracy – able to calculate & report on performance.
* Remain professional at all times when dealing with all areas of the business.
