Development Management - Senior Planning Officer (Temporary role for 3 months)
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Planning Officer position has arisen within our friendly and busy Development
Management Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced planner who can effectively manage a varied caseload planning
applications. You will need to be motivated and a well organised worker with a positive outlook who is able to deliver good
performance and high standards.
East Hampshire is a beautiful district, benefiting from the South Downs National Park together with historic market towns,
attractive villages and countryside. However, we face the same challenges many do in terms of where to locate new development and
how to ensure there is suitable housing for everyone who needs it. Change is ongoing, we don’t want to stop change, we just want
to make sure change is as positive as possible, and fair.
The Development Management Team is involved in assessing a wide range of planning applications for all types of development and
we also have an agency agreement to determine applications on behalf of the South Downs National Park Authority.
The position will comprise a hybrid style of working, as a mix of both home and office-based working, to suit the work / life
balance of the successful applicant. .
