Job Overview
The Senior CAMO Engineer will lead a dynamic and professional team of engineers responsible for the continuing airworthiness of the Air Charter Scotland fleet. The successful candidate will have a wide-ranging and diverse role from managing day-to-day activities of the department, ensuring all technical manuals are up to date and all airworthiness data is received, reviewed and implemented in a timely manner, to planning and managing base maintenance events. All the necessary training and support to fulfil the role shall be provided.
Duties
* Ensure compliance of continuing airworthiness of the ACS fleet in accordance with Part M/ CAMO requirements.
* Development and amendment of ACS Maintenance programs, assist in amendment of the ACS CAME.
* Co-ordination with Flight Operations and Ground Operations to ensure they have the most up to date maintenance status for flight scheduling purposes.
* Assisting the Continuing Airworthiness Manager in developing the base maintenance plan and organising all scheduled base maintenance on ACS aircraft to ensure safe operation of flights.
* Ensure all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the approved maintenance programme for that aircraft and is released in accordance with Part 145.
* Ensure all maintenance data is available from OEM, Vendors and STC holders.
* Ensure all defects raised during maintenance are corrected by an appropriately approved maintenance organisation.
* Ensure all defect rectifications meet the approved standard or are deferred in accordance with the MEL/ CDL and ensure the deferral procedure is followed by maintenance personnel and/ or crew.
* Ensure all maintenance data is uploaded to the maintenance tracking system accurately.
* Ensure that the mass and balance statement reflects the correct configuration and status of the aircraft.
* Ensure the Acceptable Damage Chart reflects the correct status of the aircraft.
* Ensure all continuing airworthiness records are maintained and archived in accordance with Part CAMO and company procedures.
* Evaluation of Airworthiness Directives and OEM Service Information for applicability and scheduling in accordance with ACS policies.
* Evaluation of OEM/ TCH publications for continued airworthiness requirements such as CMR’s, AWL’s, LLPs.
* Liaison with OEMs regarding ongoing continuing airworthiness matters.
* Management and supervision of maintenance inputs (line and base).
* Assist the Continuing Airworthiness Manager with audit findings and investigations.
* Production/ review of reliability reports to demonstrate the effectiveness of aircraft maintenance programmes and reliability status of the ACS fleet.
* Assist in the inspection, records review and addition of new aircraft to the ACS fleet.
* Assist the ARC Signatory with the provision of records for Airworthiness Review reports.
* Assist the Continuing Airworthiness Manager in review of regulations and updating company procedures and policies to remain compliant.
* Assist the Continuing Airworthiness Manager in regulatory audits with respect to technical records.
* Manage the Continuing Airworthiness Records Systems (Part MA305) consistent with the efficient returns of records when aircraft leave the fleet.
* Recommend improvements to the department’s processes and procedures to drive change in the department to maintain a positive safety culture.
Knowledge/ Experience/ Qualifications/ Skills
* An Engineering Degree or Aeronautical Degree or an Aircraft Maintenance Licence (B1, B2, C or equivalent).
* Comprehensive knowledge of UK Part CAMO/ UK Part 145 and EASA Part CAMO/ EASA Part 145.
* Gen Fam courses on business jet models are advantageous.
* 5 years’ experience in CAMO role (desirable).
* Received formal education with respect to UK/ EASA regulations.
* Excellent verbal and written English.
* Report writing and production.
* Ability to present information and communicate clearly and accurately with all levels of the organisation.
* Knowledge of industry software (Leon, CAMP, Centrik etc).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Programmes.
* Highly motivated and proactive with a willingness to take initiative.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
