We are seeking a passionate, dynamic individual to join our team as the Assistant General Manager (AGM) and Bar Manager .
Position Overview: This unique dual role combines the responsibilities of both an Assistant General Manager and Bar Manager, allowing you to play a pivotal role in our restaurant’s daily operations. As the AGM, you will support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. As the Bar Manager, you will lead our bar program, curate an exceptional selection of beverages, and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:
1. Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure a seamless guest experience.
2. Manage and lead staff, including front-of-house employees, in a collaborative and positive work environment.
3. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and stock control to maintain operational efficiency.
4. Handle guest concerns and ensure satisfaction, going above and beyond to meet their needs.
5. Manage and execute opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed according to restaurant standards.
6. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism in the restaurant.
7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Bar Manager Responsibilities:
8. Oversee the bar program, ensuring it runs efficiently, profitably, and at the highest standards of quality and service.
9. Curate and update the beverage menu, including cocktails, wine, and spirits to match the elevated dining experience.
10. Train and supervise bartenders, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company standards.
11. Maintain inventory and ordering for bar supplies, minimizing waste while ensuring a smooth operation.
12. Monitor the financial performance of the bar, analyzing sales data to optimize profitability.
13. Keep up with industry trends, creating new and exciting drink specials to attract and engage guests.
Qualifications:
14. 3 years of experience in a management role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
15. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
16. In-depth knowledge of cocktail preparation, wines, and spirits.
17. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate staff.
18. Ability to multitask and manage both front-of-house and bar operations seamlessly.
19. A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service.
20. Knowledge of POS systems, inventory control, and staff scheduling.
21. TIPS certification and knowledge of Massachusetts liquor laws preferred are a must.
