School Counsellor (Pastoral) Part-Time | Term Time Only plus 10 days | Actual Salary: £22,043 Hours: 8.00am – 4.00pm, 3 days per week (some flexibility required) We are seeking to appoint a compassionate and skilled School Counsellor to join our dedicated pastoral team. This role plays a key part in supporting the wellbeing of both primary and secondary pupils by delivering a confidential counselling service to those experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. The postholder will also assist in managing more complex cases, working closely with staff, families and external agencies in alignment with the School’s values and commitment to pupil welfare. The successful candidate will have: A graduate or postgraduate-level Counselling Diploma (or equivalent) Professional accreditation (or eligibility for accreditation) with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or an equivalent professional body A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience working with young people Experience in an educational setting and with multi-agency collaboration is desirable, as is confidence in delivering both individual and group-based support, including workshops and wellbeing drop-ins.
