If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading, well respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in working as part of a team within the ELGA LabWater's manufacturing facility by assembling mid-high tech products, consumables and spare parts to the agreed quality standard, and setting timeline parameters. You will also be supporting the team to ensure customer requirements in terms of On Time Delivery and quality are met.
This position will be based at our new and advanced Manufacturing facility in Cressex, with the latest facilities including a large breakout area with new kitchen, spacious parking, and great public transport links. Brief responsibilities of an Assembler Technician are:
Good understanding of work routines and procedures in your own job area. The technical procedures/work instructions for this level are well defined. The job requires proficient knowledge of these procedures and how to apply them. The knowledge can only be acquired through training or considerable experience.
Day to day, to ensure all allocated assembly tasks are completed within a timeframe and to the expected quality standards.
Conduct all tasks professionally and operate within recognised Health and Safety guidelines.
Adhering to the Company's Quality ISO9001 and ISO14001 Environmental Management System.
Support continuous improvement techniques/initiatives.
Support and maintain an effective 5S policy within work areas.
Adhere to good working relationships with all Operational and Quality personnel.
Develop technical skills to allow delivery of product assembly/packing training to new and existing personnel.
General requirements for the role:
Recognised Manufacturing assembly qualification, or "On-The-Job" training/experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
Maths and English - GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C.
Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Basic computer knowledge (EXCEL or Google suite) - to complete any required data logging tasks.
Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.
Ability to operate well under quality/time productivity & utilisation performance management.
Adept at intricate (electro-mechanical) assembly processes and routine, demonstrate dexterity and attention to detail as required.
Good understanding of recognised Health and Safety practices.
Disciplined and organised approach to tasks.
Self motivating, conscientious and organised.
Good team building, motivated, enthusiastic skill set.
Flexible approach to achieve working area objectives.
