Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Lead Psychologist to join one of our private clients in one of private hospitals. It is a specialised service offering mental health treatment to D/deaf men and individuals with complex communication needs, provided under the Mental Health Act 1983 (Amended 2007). As a Lead Psychologist, you'll receive support from a regional network of psychologists, helping you thrive in your career. With experience as a Senior or Lead Psychologist in either the NHS or private sector, you will manage a caseload that involves assessing service users with complex needs and creating and providing specialised psychological treatment within mental health care services. What you'll do: Participating in and contributing to Clinical Leads and Hospital Governance meetings. Assisting in the delivery of psychology services within a designated area, working alongside multidisciplinary teams. Actively engaging with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the service user is fully involved in their care plan. Assisting the clinical team by providing direct interventions and delivering staff training programs. Supporting the clinical team and service area in developing new initiatives and improving ways of working. Playing a key role in the development of psychology services, offering an evidence-based approach to new clinical initiatives. Making the most of existing opportunities to enhance the service area. Contributing to the recruitment process for junior psychology staff. Assisting in the development and implementation of policies that improve staff safety and risk management. Collaborating with internal and external agencies to improve treatment pathways for service users. What we're looking for: Doctorate-level qualifications in Psychology and HCPC registered. Proficiency in assessing, formulating, and providing therapeutic interventions for service users. The capability to recognise and take proactive steps to resolve issues and challenges within the service. Capability to oversee and mentor junior team members. Awareness and comprehension of working with trauma. Experience in applying various therapeutic interventions to address a wide range of clinical and/or forensic challenges. Proficiency in psychological assessments and formulation, with a strong ability to learn new assessment techniques.
