Overview of role
As a lead consultant within the Data & Technology team you will lead in the development and automation of data solutions for clients. This is a hands-on role and you will be responsible for managing and delivering various client projects that aggregate data sources into a single view for both the client and indeed EssenceMediacom.
Marketing industry data is often incomplete, inconsistent and stored in silos with access primarily through APIs and FTPs. It is therefore our responsibility to help clients both internal and external who each have their own requirements for reporting. EssenceMediacom has invested in a technology stack based on GCP and PowerBI in order to adapt quickly to differing client requirements. We need a creative, experienced and motivated individual to help lead in the development of dashboards and can build cutting edge solutions that are fit for purpose and use the latest technologies.
Reporting of the role
Reports to Director, Head of Data Management.

Measures of success
In three months, you would have:
* Understood the Data & Technology team’s existing tools and techniques and how we work with the wider agency.
In six months, you would have:
* Started to build your own contacts network, be the lead on 1-2 key projects and be considering improvements that can be made to our tools or processes.
In 12 months, you would have:
* Work directly with clients to sell in, lead and deliver on projects that drive Data & Technology forwards.
Responsibilities of the role
* Manage and contribute to the strategy for EssenceMediacom’s data management discipline. Implementing the use of best practice and the latest technologies.
* Design, develop and maintain dashboarding and cloud solutions; Troubleshoot issues with Power BI.
* Bringing consistency to our Data handling and schemas across EssenceMediacom clients.
* Ensuring data validation and consistency across all media channels.
* Developing and executing queries whilst also validating the accuracy and completeness of the data.
* Working with planning teams to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment.
What you will need
Essential
* Significant and relevant experience working with dashboarding tools (PowerBi preferred).
* Significant and relevant cloud platform knowledge: GCP (Certification advantageous), other cloud platform knowledge would be considered.
* Significant and relevant experience using SQL.
* Experience of working directly with clients and managing stakeholder expectations.
* Line management experience.
* Experience working with digital marketing and/or web analytics data.
Desirable:
* Experiencing working with tools such as: Jira, Confluence.
* Has worked in a technical team that use Agile, Scrum methodologies.
* Experience of DevOps tools: Github/Gitlab.
