Job Advert Location Description
Set within a safe and therapeutic environment, the Priory Hospital Dewsbury is a 32 bedded locked service, supporting two different service user groups:
1. Hartley Ward focuses upon the active rehabilitation of men with mental health issues. The emphasis is upon stabilising mental health, reducing risks and enhancing independent living skills, with a view to reintegration into the community. This is a 16 bed ward.
2. Jubilee Ward supports men with dementia, and behaviours that challenge. This is a 16 bed ward.
The role holder will be part of the Senior Management and leading a team of 2 ward managers. Responsibilities would include being accountable for all clinical aspects in the hospital after Hospital Director and deputising on their absence.
Job would include ensuring delivery of an optimum level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against key performance indicators. As a member of the Senior Management, the role holder will play a key part in developing and delivering the hospital strategy, providing operational and clinical leadership to the wider staff group in support of the Hospital Director.
