This is an opportunity for an accomplished Academic or a Chartered Engineer (or someone working towards chartered status) with Civil Engineering industry experience, to move into a teaching and mentoring role, teaching highly motivated students to MSc level and mentoring them to Chartered Engineer status. These students spend time in the classroom, then on civilian placements in industry being mentored by academic staff.
The Senior Lecturer will provide subject expertise in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering within a small multidisciplinary teaching team with a focus on Military Construction Engineering, to develop the teaching of current and emerging civil engineering practice to undergraduate and postgraduate military students.

Successful candidates are likely to have:
1. Postgraduate qualification or significant professional practice in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject area.
2. Level 7 teaching qualification or a commitment to achieve one within 2 years of contract commencement.
3. CEng or a commitment to work towards professional registration within 2 years of contract commencement.
