Are you a dynamic and passionate individual seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact? Join our exceptional employability team at South Staffordshire College and help shape the future of our learners. We are searching for a dedicated team member who can inspire and guide our students in developing resilience, confidence, and the essential employability skills they need to thrive in work and education. Your expertise in behaviour management combined with a genuine passion for engaging with learners will be invaluable in motivating them to achieve their full potential. While experience in practical-based areas such as Sport, Public Service, Drama, Duke of Edinburgh, or Prince's Trust is advantageous, it is not essential. The successful candidate will be required to deliver and assess a range of employability related topics, practical activities and support the development of maths and English skills to our 16-18 years employability groups. The successful applicant ideally will have experience in either teaching, training and or assessment and hold a level 5 teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one. If you have the drive and passion to work in this area and are committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, then we would like to hear from you. What you can expect from us - We care about your wellbeing so have a number of activities all year that provide support. However, time off is also important. You will be entitled to 40 days holiday, plus 8 Bank Holidays, plus an additional 5 shutdown days at Christmas and 2 'ME' days (where you can have a day off work and do whatever makes you happy). We have a substantial range of benefits available to all staff including paid time off for emergencies (designed to support carers) and all our policies are enhanced further than statutory requirements. The College also contributes to your pension at a minimum of 22.9% (we contribute more for people in the Local Government Pension Scheme). South Staffordshire College is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applicants from all sections of the community. We are committed to PREVENT and safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expect all staff to share this commitment.
