Role Overview: Decontamination Team Leader
As a Decontamination Team Leader, you will oversee and execute decontamination procedures, ensuring the safety of individuals and the environment. Leading a team of technicians, you will coordinate efforts and ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Guide, train, and support your team for effective decontamination operations.
* Decontamination Process: Execute thorough cleaning and disinfection procedures according to protocols.
* Equipment Management: Maintain and repair instruments, machinery, and computer systems.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, PPE use, and containment measures.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify procedure effectiveness.
* Documentation: Keep accurate records of activities, materials used, and incidents.
* Emergency Response: Coordinate fast-track decontamination actions when needed.
* Customer Communication: Update customers on progress and address concerns through Production Managers.
* Training and Development: Provide ongoing training to enhance team skills.
* Reporting: Prepare regular reports summarising performance metrics and updates.

Person Specifications:
* Education: A-Levels/O-Levels equivalent; additional decontamination certification preferred.
* Experience: At least 1 year in a decontamination leadership role.
* Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of decontamination techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
* Skills: Strong leadership, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
* Flexibility: Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies, with flexible hours.
* Safety Regulations: Knowledge of HSE guidelines and relevant safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification in hazardous materials handling or industrial hygiene.
* Experience in healthcare, industrial, or environmental decontamination settings.
