What you’ll be doing We have a fantastic opportunity for a People Operations Manager (maternity cover FTC) at On the Beach If you are as passionate about exceptional employee experience as we are, then keep reading and get your CV ready. You’ll play a critical role in our People function as the ‘heartbeat’ of our team. By identifying process improvements and driving workable solutions for change, you and your team will be shaping our people experience. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of People Operations, including but not limited to: Managing and optimising the processes of all aspects of the employee lifecycle; contracting, onboarding through to off boarding. Identify and initiate process improvement (e.g. automation) projects across both People Operations and the wider People function. Lead both internal and external audits to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, whilst putting in place robust and sustainable processes. Manage the HRIS database, ensuring the accurate recording and maintenance of People data. Overseeing the day-day People related queries (shared inbox and slack/teams channels) Partner with our Communications Lead on People and Operations related internal communications. Own the end to end administration and framework of all employee benefits and reward and remuneration ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and that they are fit for purpose. Own and enhance our people tech stack (People Systems, YOTI, Investec etc.) and ensure continual review and improvement of systems. Own our HR Analytics and Data dashboards and provide meaningful data to enable effective decision making. Build great working relationships with key stakeholders, particularly in payroll, IT and Finance. Ownership and continual review of all People policies ensuring they comply with statutory regulations and meet business needs. Ownership of all employee relations related activity. About you We ask that you are as passionate about employee experience as we are We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in previous HR roles which include exposure to employee relations, working closely with HR systems and people data. Curious and happy to get hands on - so you need to have a genuine excitement and passion for people operations, with experience of breaking down processes/problems and identifying opportunities to deliver business improvements at local. Comfortable with discussing compliance, with a good working knowledge of UK employment laws. Ready to lead a team - with strong coaching and leadership skills. Capable of managing and delivering a high volume of work at pace - keeping calm under pressure and errors to a minimum. Able to take responsibility and ownership for your workload – being proactive and confident to use your own initiative and see things through to completion. Friendly and engaging with the ability to build collaborative, trustworthy relationships. Confident with handling confidential information and understanding the importance of data protection. Happy to role model the best use of Microsoft Office – Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. CIPD qualified Ways of working Our full-time hours are 37.5 per week, but we don't have rigid working hours so you can find the working pattern that's right for you. We have core working hours between 10am - 4pm, so we can collaborate and enjoy the social side of work. We also have hybrid working so we all work from home and from our Aeroworks office in Manchester City Centre.
