This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join the team managing the historic garden cared for by Brighton & Hove Museums (B&HM), and to support with the delivery of the National Lottery Heritage funded ‘A Garden Fit For A King’ project.
We are looking for a practical and self-motivated individual with previous horticultural experience who is willing to engage with a diverse range of audiences.
You will be responsible for working alongside the wider B&HM Garden team to provide capacity for the B&HM garden team delivering the project. The postholder will undertake horticultural work to a high standard within the Royal Pavilion Garden and will follow both Regency and organic gardening principles. The post is a public facing one with visitor engagement forming a significant part of the role. Maintenance and development of the Garden is supported by a small gardening team which includes an apprentice and volunteers. The postholder will manage the Garden Apprenticeship programme.
