Job Summary We are looking to recruit a placement student as a part of their ‘sandwich’ degree course. In this role you will work remotely under the Communications Officer( tag Vincent’s profile) as a part of our UK team, alongside our Fundraising Officer ( link) and Impact Coordinator ( link) placement interns. You will be mentored in all aspects of running a successful small charity, focusing mainly on income generation initiatives, as well as raising public awareness and engaging donors and volunteers. About Act4Africa Act4Africa UK is the UK-based charity that has supported the Ugandan NGO for 24 years. Our aim of reducing poverty and transform communities focuses on improving gender equality through female empowerment. Our vision is to build confidence and capability amongst the most vulnerable women and girls. We aim to achieve this through our mission to listen to our communities, providing care and holistic education to transform their lives. Our Strong Mothers programme supports struggling adolescent mothers in rural Uganda through childcare and skills training. Key Responsibilities Communicating with other placement students in UK, organising part-time volunteers and reporting to Communications Officer( tag Vincent’s profile). Promoting fundraising events on social media, supporting the content construction of our newsletters and building our social media presence. Planning and organising media output of daily activities on site in Mayuge, Uganda for our supporters. Building public relations, communicating with partners.
