Are you an experienced leader within the mortgage & savings sector, seeking a role where you can have a real impact on the operations of a business? Our client is seeking a driven individual to lead their busy Operations team, being a key member of the Executive Committee and overall responsibility for the Mortgage and Savings function, as well as the Marketing team.
Of particular focus will be the Mortgage lending side of the business as you will also be a senior mandate holder. They are also going through exciting upgrades to their systems capabilities over the coming 2 years and so will be a key person driving and manging those changes.
Duties of the Head of Operations will include:
1. Responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction of Savings, Mortgage Operations, Underwriting and Arrears.
2. Shape and manage clear operational change roadmap aligned with, and enabling the Strategy.
3. In conjunction with other members of the Executive Committee contribute to the development and implementation of the strategy/financial plan.
4. Shape and manage forward change agenda for the operations agenda – in line with, and to enable, strategy and in collaboration with the transformation team.
5. Provide oversight of all day-to-day operations including ad hoc system and project work including initiation, management, and implementation.
6. Effective oversight of operational resilience including incident management, resolution and implementation, disaster recovery, business continuity management IMT/CMT.
They are seeking an individual with the following experience:
7. Previous leadership experience of a department
8. Experience and/or knowledge of mortgage underwriting
9. Experience of scale change management/process transformation projects
The head office is based in Buckinghamshire, and they do require this role holder to be office based at least 3 days a week. Due to the location of the head office, you do need to have your own transport as they are not easily accessible via public transport.
