We arelooking to recruit a dynamic, forward thinking, skilled individualto the position of SeniorPhysiotherapist within the Physiotherapy team atTees Valley Hospital on a full time, contractedbasis.
Thisrole would suit a Physiotherapist with current skills andexperience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and knowledge andexpertise in ACL rehab, with the view of leading and continuouslydeveloping this service, one evening per week. We are keen torecruit an influential leader who values team work, and is flexibleand self-motivated with a drive to succeed, learn and developthemselves, others and the services we provide.
ThePhysiotherapy team is committed to the delivery and demonstrationof high standards of patient care and customer service. Working inthe team at Tees Valley Hospital you will be treating NHS andprivate patients. The Physiotherapy team take pride in their workand demonstrate a commitment to providing high standards of careand customer service to our patients whilst maintaining high levelsof patient satisfaction at everycontact.
Whilstthis role would be based predominantly in the outpatient service,flexibility is required to work in the Orthopaedic inpatient wardas service demand requires. Additional work supporting weekends maybe required to facilitate discharges of joint arthroplastypatients.
Yourduties willinclude:
* Deliveringhigh quality physiotherapy care in a hospital setting; includingthe assessment, treatment, planning and development ofphysiotherapy treatment programmes, progressing and regressingtreatment using own clinical knowledge andjustification
* Usesound rationale to solve problems, diagnose and treat, takingresponsibility for the management of a complexcaseload.
* Soundability to use dynamic risk assessment and manual handling skillsto ensure patient and environmental safety during treatmentplans
* Providingpatient education and advice at all stages throughout the patientjourney.
* Effectivelymanage outpatient diary as applicable, time management skills,input sessional charges via computer, book patientappointments
* Supportthe department manager in quality and governance, includingundertaking audits, clinical supervision, in-service training andthe day to day running of the outpatientdepartment.
* To act ina professional manner at all times respecting privacy, dignity andconfidentiality
* Highregard and implementation of health and safety procedures regardingpatients, colleagues and the environment at all times, includinginfection controlprocedures
* Excellentcommunication, customer care and customer service skills.
* A commitment to CPD,mandatory training ande-learning
* A goodstandard of IT literacy and willingness to learn new informationtechnology asrequired
* Workingeffectively and independently as part of the Physiotherapy team andthe wider multi-disciplinaryteam
Theideal candidate musthave:
* BScHonours degree inPhysiotherapy
* Be HCPC
* Experience of workingas a Physiotherapist in an Orthopaedic and/or MSK outpatientsetting.
* Evidence ofcontinuous professionaldevelopment
* Highlyorganised and demonstrate the ability to work confidently andeffectively both in a team andindependently.
* Have anunderstanding of the CSP standards of practice and HCPC standardsand how they relate to individualpractice.
* Desirable– previous experience in the independent sector and CSPregistered
