We are in search of a skilled Finance Manager to take on a number 2 role, assisting the broader operational leadership team in overseeing financial operations. This position is crucial to ensuring the precision and efficiency of financial processes, making a significant contribution to the organisation's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the month-end closing process and assist in the preparation of rolling forecasts and the annual budget.
* Fulfil reporting obligations, review balance sheet reconciliations, and compile the monthly management pack.
* Support the creation of presentations for internal and divisional meetings, ensuring data accuracy.
* Assist with the CapEx process, overseeing cash-out, additions, and disposals of fixed assets.
* Analyse cost trends and provide insights to facilitate informed financial decision-making and enhance cost efficiency.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to boost operational efficiency.
* Maintain a strong control environment in line with group financial policies.
* Collaborate with various departments to provide valuable financial insights and guidance.
* Take charge of complex financial projects, ensuring their successful completion.
* Demonstrate leadership by mentoring and developing the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Experience Required:
* Extensive experience in a finance role, ideally within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
* Proven management and leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing a team.
* Well-organised, flexible, and reliable with a proactive approach.
* Ability to meet strict deadlines, manage priorities, and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
* Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK to support operational sites and attend group forums.
