Job Title: Shift Engineer Location: Corby About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Shift Engineer to join a leading logistics operation. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our warehouse automation systems, working closely with a Technical Operator and supported by a 24/7 remote software team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the logistics sector. Key Responsibilities: Perform planned maintenance and ensure optimal operation of warehouse automation systems. Utilize SCADA systems to monitor and maintain system availability. Respond to and resolve plant stoppages promptly to minimize downtime. Ensure strict adherence to H&S Lotto procedures and compliance with all permits. Provide technical expertise on system capabilities and functionality. Gain a deep understanding of the warehouse management system to diagnose quickly and resolve errors. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to drive improvements through best practices and root cause analysis. Our Ideal Candidate: Strong understanding of production lines and automated systems, ideally within a logistics or warehouse environment. Certified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Health and safety experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Solid software knowledge and proficiency in tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Hands-on experience with inverters, servo drives, HMI panels, 24V rollers, shuttles, and lifts.
