Domestic Supervisor
Permanent / Part Time
Hospice Band 3 – £26,477 - £27,486 + Unsocial Hours Enhancement + Pension + Benefits
30 hours per week, Back Shift, 5 out of 7 days
St Columba's exists to give everyone who needs it the very best hospice care. We're an independent charity at the heart of our local community, offering free, flexible and person-centred palliative care and support to our patients and their families.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our friendly, hard-working cleaning & domestic services team. The Domestic Supervisor will play an important role in delivering front line services within the Hospice to ensure a clean and safe environment. You will be involved in a daily allocation of work for back shift. You will assist the Domestic Services Lead in running a team of Domestic Staff, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and allocate work to Domestic Staff.
2. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
3. Assist the Domestic Services Lead.
4. Work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous experience in supervising staff and cleaning.
2. PC literate with good communication skills.
3. Ability to prioritise and organise daily duties.
4. Willingness to work shift patterns including weekends.
Experience with cleaning equipment or working within a healthcare setting would be an advantage, as would SVQ or BICS qualifications, although not essential.
