Part-Time Head of Human Resources (25 hours per week) office attendance for min of two days per week (Clapham North)
The ideal candidate would be available to start at short notice, with a maximum one-month notice period.
About the Role
The Analyst is hiring for a Head of HR, responsible for building and shaping a working environment in which the team can thrive professionally and personally.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our people strategy and operations as well as instrumental in shaping our culture. You will support the Leadership Team to meet strategic and annual objectives. This is a stand-alone role and while you’ll be surrounded by a hugely talented team you must be confident in acting independently to deliver our BAU and People initiatives.
In your role you will serve as a leader, counsel, and confidante to the Directors and act as a trusted adviser to the Leadership Team on all aspects of human resources.
The successful candidate will be expected to work at our Clapham North office for two days a week.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the end-to-end employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, talent and performance management, learning, employee engagement, culture & wellbeing.
* Contribute to the development of the organisation's people strategy and lead the processes and structures that support achievement of this.
* Develop effective employment policies and processes that comply with the most current legislation, regulations, accepted professional standards, and that support the organisation's aims - ensure they are fully embedded, understood and followed.
* Drive delivery of team objectives across the business.
* Lead the annual review process and support the CEO and Leadership Team in preparation for this.
* Provide expert guidance on a variety of people matters using your ER experience to navigate the business and employee through to a positive conclusion.
* Support managers to effectively deal with all people related issues.
* Take a lead role in transforming and strengthening the organisational culture, and role model the organisation's values and ways of working.
* Drive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
Relevant Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
* Held previous position of seniority and with a proven record of delivery ideally within financial services.
* Inspiring leadership qualities with a track record of positively influencing culture.
* Outstanding communication skills - ability to influence, establish credibility and trust, challenge, and build accountability.
* Able to problem solve and demonstrate operational and strategic skills.
* Experience of acting as a role model and leading a team of professionals.
* Commercial acumen - proven record of business partnering to deliver commercially focused people strategies.
* Solid employment law knowledge and proven experience of applying updated legislation to a variety of HR situations.
* Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion.
* Experienced in coaching at directors and management level.
* Hold a relevant professional qualification (CIPD, ILM).
* Minimum of 7+ years post qualification experience.
